Rape culture and sexual assault contributes to the effects of Cultural Perspectives and Feminist Perspectives. Many women with big breasts feel overly sexualized. Raven Symone's critical perspective, as a feminist, towards the outbreak that bigger breasts are overly sexualizing women states, “The bigger your boobs are the more older you might look and the sexier you will be perceived.” We should care about this because individuals have to stop looking for ways to oversexualize women and men, particularly because oversexualization is a cause of the accumulation of rape culture. Jon Stewart brings his perspective as a cultural issue; therefore, his perspective is that he doesn't agree with the view that in America, individuals view nudity to be sexual. In The Daily Show, Jon Stewart predominantly in a satire manner makes a statement referencing his opinion towards the situation in which nudity on American television won’t appear from the time of 6 am and 10 pm, “I am glad someone’s out there protecting American’s delicate sensibilities pre 10 pm (ATTN,2016).”
As a cultural perspective some blame women for sexual assault, but feminist activist and social scientist from New Dehli India, Kamla Bhasin thinks that it is no use to rape-victim blame. Bhasin states “ If I’m raped, people will say that she’s lost her honor. How did I lose my honor? Who put my honor in my vagina? It is a patriarchal idea that getting raped would ruin my community’s honor. I would like to ask everyone right now, why did you place your community’s honor there? If anyone loses their honor when a woman is raped it’s the rapist not the woman who is raped (Revolution, 2016).”
